With just 10 rares and 5 mythics, this Vampire tribal list is simple to assemble on MTG Arena. But is it any good?

If it is, it's almost entirely thanks to one card: Sorin, Imperious Bloodlord. Sorin rewards you for playing Vampires by dropping them into play, boosting them, and turning them into Lightning Helix.

Besides Knight of the Ebon Legion, the Vampires of Standard feel a bit flimsy. Vampire of the Dire Moon, Child of Night and Bloodthirsty Aerialist add a life gain subtheme with some limited potential. Thirsting Bloodlord is an effective, but pricy, lord effect. If you can stall long enough, Icon of Ancestry can grind you to victory, but you'd still rather play Sorin, Imperious Bloodlord on curve.
