Some of us - me included - thought that the latest F&L update would bring balance to the force by removing Crystron Halqifibrax, but instead we got one of the most surprising F&L Lists of all time - one with absolutely no restrictions. It makes sense: most players who picked up new cards like Crystron Halqifibrax, Eldlich the Golden Lord and Adamancipator Researcher had literally no chance to play them in real life tournaments. Restricting them now would be a major slap in the face to anybody who spent money.
But regardless, most players expected to see big changes when the new list dropped, and that made the actual reveal pretty surprising. Check out Doug's live react video for an example. Then stick around, as Doug talks about the future of one of his favorite decks: Altergeists, now back at full power with triple Altergeist Multifaker.
This list is beyond low impact by normal standards, but it could be pretty monumental since it signifies that no cards will be banned until September, giving players the chance to play them in-person before any more changes happen. That's great news if you've been waiting to run your Eldlich the Golden Lord and Mecha Phantom Beast O-Lion. And while triple Altergeist Multifaker may not break the Altergeist deck, at the very least it makes Doug a happy man.
