Hello and welcome to another addition of Droppin' Baums! This week I just can't stay away from the Dimir guild. I had so much fun last week demoralizing the competition I figured I would try it again! This time I am trying out the very powerful card, Quasiduplicate. I think this card has some very good qualities and some horrible ones. Being able to cast it twice on turn six and double copy pretty much any creature in the deck – absolutely busted! The other side of the debate – it does absolutely nothing on turn three most of the time. On top of this you end up getting two-for-oned a bit too often with Quasiduplicate. Everything else is an absolutely treat to play with. Getting a nice change of pace from the "big three," Golgari, Jeskai, and white-based decks, Dimir decks are the new kids on the block! Let's check out this list by TroyGG36 with a sideboard guide to go with it!

Sideboard Guide

Izzet Drakes

This matchup seems close if you can get some creatures to live. If they Overload you on Beacon Bolts and stuff like that, it's going to be a toughy.

Jeskai Control

This matchup just can't be good. You just have to be able to use the hand disruption spells to sneak in a Thief of Sanity to win.

White Aggro

This matchup is one that we can win! We have just enough creature kill to make you opponent to just have to "go for it." That is where we either get to blow them out or we lose badly.

This matchup is very, very hard to sideboard against. I am quite unsure if this is correct since they can attack us on so many different angles.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Good luck to everyone playing PPTQ's and Magic Online events.

See you next week,

Corey Baumeister
