Hello and welcome to another edition of Droppin' Baums! This week we are taking a break from the absolutely broken decks of Modern to try out the fun police of the format. If you take joy in slowly but surely robbing your opponent of play decisions and happiness, then boy do I have the perfect deck for you! Mono-Red Prison has been my dirty pleasure for the last few weeks. I think it needs just a bit of help to be able to compete as one of the top decks of Modern, but it's not too far off from getting there.

This deck gets to play two of the most powerful artifacts in the format: Ensnaring Bridge and Chalice of the Void. When most of the format is trying to cast one-mana cantrips and attack with cheap overpowered creatures, I believe this pair of fun-wrecking cops are the perfect answer to break up the party right before that girl they really like is about to come over. Do you get the picture I am painting for you? They are not going to have a good time! But, you will! Let's check out the list.

This deck sure has its share of problems. I learned this deck cannot possibly beat a Humans deck. I got beat so badly I almost switched decks right then and there. I'm glad I didn't because I sure had a blast with the deck after that. Eidolon of the Great Revel is one card I do not think belongs in the deck. It felt very bad. I think Abrade would be much better in that slot, so I would make that change moving forward.
