One of the most basic skills necessary to success in competitive Magic tournaments is simply to evaluate hands. Or rather whether to "Keep or Paris?"

The Scenarios:

Imagine you are playing an Andrew Cuneo-esque UW Control deck in Standard; say chihoi's 4-0 MTGO Azorius Control deck:

DECKID=1188852

How would you approach this hand?

1 Elixir of Immortality
1 Elspeth, Sun's Champion
2 Quicken
1 Azorius Charm
1 Divination
1 Island

On the play?
On the draw?

What about this one?

1 Elspeth, Sun's Champion
2 Quicken
1 Azorius Charm
1 Divination
2 Mutavault

On the play?
On the draw?

The Game:

As with every Make the Play Monday we present a challenging, hopefully instructive, hypothetical. TCGplayer readers are invited to answer in the comments (as hundreds have been, week after week).

On Flores Rewards Friday, we will flesh out some potential "answers" to the questions at hand and two readers whose answers conform with the answers and explanations put forth by YT and the week's Celebrity Guest will receive $25 in store credit each, furnished by our generous benefactors here at TCGplayer.com.

The successful response to this week's hypotheticals will be fourfold, for example:

Keep
Paris
Keep
Paris

(You know, like the title).

Comment and editorialize as you will, but the winners will have four answers, correctly aligned with mine and our Celebrity Guest's on Flores Rewards Friday.

So...would you keep or will you Paris any of the above?

LOVE
MIKE
