At first I thought it was a meme deck. A flash in the pan that could make for some fun videos but ultimately not matter.

Then I actually played this ridiculous Neoform and Allosaurus Rider combo deck, and I have to say it lived up to the hype.

That's a lot of turn-one kills for a meme deck. Now, I don't know that I'm saying this is going to be a powerhouse in Modern—or even a deck that anyone plays at a "real" tournament—but being a glass cannon deck isn't so bad if your glass cannon can go off on turn one.

I'm getting ahead of myself. The combo in this deck is pretty simple: put a Griselbrand into play. To do that, you play Allosaurus Rider for free as soon as possible, and then use Neoform or Eldritch Evolution to sacrifice the Dinosaur and turn it into a Griselbrand. From there, you draw through your deck thanks to the life gain from Nourishing Shoal plus Autochthon Wurm, allowing you to keep going with Griselbrand. Eventually, you exile three Simian Spirit Guides and use Manamorphose to make blue mana and cast Laboratory Maniac, and then draw cards until you're out, enabling the win from the Lab man.

Simple, right?

The deck is way more consistent than you might think. Summoner's Pact gets you the pieces you need, while also exiling to cast Allosaurus Rider. Neoform and Eldritch Evolution give you eight pieces of that side of the "combo." Wild Cantor allows you to "store" mana when you don't have a first-turn kill, and it also filters into the blue mana you'll need.

All told, it's a deck you may have to be ready for in Modern. Hope you've got your Grafdigger's Cage ready.
