X-Sabers are back! ...Kind of?

The hottest new tech for Pendulum duelists is an underrated Tuner that's half a decade old: X-Saber Palomuro's exploded into Regional competition. First piloted to a 3rd Place finish by Dave Grabert at the Complexity Card Gaming Major Tour Stop in Lille France on December 6th, it reappeared a week later in Patrick Hoban's winning deck at the ARG Circuit Series in Las Vegas. From there, Palomuro was all over Regional Top 8s last weekend.

The reason? As a Level 1 Earth Tuner, Palomuro pairs with Earths like Performage Hat Tricker and Dragonpulse Magician to make Naturia Beast. That keeps opponents from activating Pendulum Spells and powerful cards like Wavering Eyes in the mirror match, and it can easily knock Kozmos off balance. Palomuro's created a wealth of new power-play openings that involve protecting monsters like Tsukuyomi' rel="https://yugioh.tcgplayer.com/db/WP-CH.asp?CN=Bujintei Tsukuyomi">Bujintei Tsukuyomi or Majespecter Unicorn – Kirin on Turn 1, often with some help from Brilliant Fusion and Gem-Knight Seraphinite.

Palomuro's not just an Earth and a Level 1 Tuner, either; it's also a Reptile, so it's searchable with King of the Feral Imps. Combined with Foolish Burial and the revival effect of Elder Entity Norden, it's really easy to get to and expands the reach of standard moves Pendulum you were already making. Since Palomuro was only printed in The Shining Darkness and Duel Terminal 1, it became a hot prospect virtually overnight.

Keep an eye on X-Saber Palomuro over the coming weeks, and be ready for it when it shows up across the table.
