Synchro Summons were powerful back then, but one Synchro usually wouldn't end the game all on its own; Trishula, Dragon of the Ice Barrier was different, often winning the duel on the spot with its stunning removal effect.

Despite never being featured in the anime, Trishula, Dragon of the Ice Barrier still an iconic part of Yu-Gi-Oh history. The original Synchro Monster's seen lots of reprints over the years, and it still has a habit of showing up in modern matches from time to time. The Ice Barrier Structure Deck is coming next year and it's certainly possible that Trishula, Dragon of the Ice Barrier will show up once more to remind everyone of its power.
