Magic players, like players of most hobby games, have long griped that their favorite pastime isn't living up to its potential. We can expect this background griping to continue until the heat death of the universe. But the frustration around Standard has felt especially hot since War of the Spark, and Wizards of the Coast evidently agrees that something's wrong, because since releasing WAR they've banned ten cards from the format.
